Minister for Labour and Transport from 05-04-1957 to 31-07-1959, Minister for Industries from 06-03-1967 to 21-10-1969, and from 25-09-1971 to 25-03-1977, State Executive Member, CPI; Opposition Leader, T.C.L.A (1954-56); Entered politics through Travancore State Congress and was its State Committee Member. Actively involved in Freedom movement; Participated in the Punnapra-Vayalar Struggle; Imprisoned many times; Chairman, Alleppey Municipal Council; Renowned Trade union Leader especially among Coir Workers and Agricultural Workers.

Expired on 26-03-1977; Obituary made on 29-03-1977.
